Slice of Time

For years, Steve Hauck drove past a decrepit building with lawn chairs lined up against the tattered tree bark wall. Most people would capture a photo of the scenery any day. Instead, Steve waited for the Summer Solstice so the lighting would produce a more powerful image. Two weeks later, the building was demolished. According to Steve, photography is about capturing "a slice of time. And we will never get those slices back." The building with chairs is gone, yet that slice of time remains forever in a photograph. 📸
